ChatCompletionResponseMessage

A chat completion message generated by the model.

Fields

Field Type Required Description
content string ✔️ The contents of the message.
toolCalls components.ChatCompletionMessageToolCall[] ➖ The tool calls generated by the model, such as function calls.
role components.ChatCompletionResponseMessageRole ✔️ The role of the author of this message.
functionCall components.ChatCompletionResponseMessageFunctionCall ➖ : warning: ** DEPRECATED **: This will be removed in a future release, please migrate away from it as soon as possible.

Deprecated and replaced by tool_calls. The name and arguments of a function that should be called, as generated by the model.
